   Second grade is such a fun year with so many wonderful learning experiences and activities.  I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, loved and an integral part of our family of learners. 
   I have been teaching for fourteen  years and currently entering my fifteenth.  Fourteen of those years have been right here at Annette Winn Elementary School. This will be my fifth year teaching second grade. Prior to teaching 2nd grade, I was an upper grades teacher in grade levels 3, 4 and 5. 
                      About Me:

 I am originally from Florida and born in Miami. My family is from Cuba and I am Cuban-American.  I have lived in Georgia for twenty-one years. I am married, and have four children.  Three boys and one girl that have all graduated. I am also and GiGi to two beautiful grand children. I also have a chocolate lab named Maximus. 
                  
                     Education:
   
I graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I have two Endorsements, one in Gifted Instruction and the other in Math.

Hobbies: Spending time with my family, cooking, watching movies, and reading.
