Welcome to Annette Winn Elementary! This is my 20th year of teaching and I  love every minute of it! I am a proud mom of two great children. They keep me very busy making trips to visit them. My daughter graduated from LSU (just like her mom) with her masters degree and my son has graduated from USM and now living and working in Texas working as a Polymer Science engineer. I am married to my sweet husband, Mark. We love spending time together…it’s our favorite thing to do!

Experience

I am so excited to be teaching gifted at Annette Winn!  I have also taught gifted at Winston Elementary and Eastside Elementary.  Prior to teaching gifted, I taught 2nd and 3rd grades at Winston and 1st grade at Mirror Lake. 

When you walk into my classroom, you will find a warm and nurturing atmosphere where student’s social, emotional, and academic successes are top priority. I am committed to building an innovative classroom in which creativity, differentiation, and acceleration are valued. Students are encouraged to become active in his/her education through challenging and stimulating activities within a cooperative learning environment.
